We set off from home with plenty of time for stops, although the weather didn't allow for long ones, so we arrived at site before the official time. The first car we saw on arrival was the donated Robin which was to be raffled off during the weekend. Friday evening we relaxed. I woke up Sat morn at 5 am to find myself making cups of coffee for a family who'd arrived at 1 am and slept in their cars overnight, later on we went on an organised run to a nearby market. The evening was spent in the marquee drinking, eating, chatting, listening to the live band and playing bingo. On Sunday all the cars went on show and fun was had competing in all kinds of games followed by the handing out of cups. Again in the evening we had live entertainment and a drawing of Seth of Emerdale Farm by the actor himself Stan Richards fetched £54-00 for the club funds.
