Friday 31st May arrived and the job of filling cars with camping equipment was completed by 1 pm.
Off we set from home over the pennines to New Mills for a stop off at my brothers, then over the tops, 4 miles uphill slog engine lost water and need filling in the car I was driving, through Buxton on to Cheadle ( more water needed), Stafford and finally Coven.
After paying camp dues and putting up tent it was then seeing and chatting to old friends and many new ones.
Saturday morning off the radiator of my car and the water loss problem was solved by flushing it out whist the luckier people went on the economy run of 60 miles (in the case of one car it turned out to be over 80). Saturday night was great with live music and bingo got to bed and with a few beers inside me slept like a log.
