This Car was aquired for £40.00. Now the story. Help Children In Need. Four Asda colleague travelled from John'O'Groats to Lands End in this three wheeler calling at Asda stores along the way in order to raise funds for BBC children in need 2002. They did the jouney over a week including taking the car from (Asda ADC wakefield) to John'o'Groats and back from Lands End. They braved the elements sleeping in the back of a Curtain sided Van with no luxuries or heating in late November. All through the week the weather was severe with high winds,sleet and driving rain. The little car like the four fellows was of strong character and gave no problems covering over a thousand miles, they even stopped to assist a broken down motorist in Cornwall. The car was painted by Children at a local school who was given a free hand and they came up with a striking paint job, the car turned heads like nothing experienced before. They appeared on BBC TV with Paul Hudson the look north weather man who signed the car. They set out to raise £10,000 but there evvorts were far more successful than there wildest dreams raising a staggering £14,500.
